Call for Applications: Alpbach Summer School on European Integration 2015 (ASSEI-B15)

Club Alpbach Belgrade is launching a Call for Applications for its 9th edition of Alpbach Summer School on European Integration in Belgrade 2015 (ASSEI-B15). As an official member of the Forum Alpbach Network and the European Forum Alpbach, in cooperation with University of Belgrade's Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, school will be held from September 10th to 20th, 2015, in Belgrade, Serbia. Deadline for applications is August 21st, 2015. Eligible candidates We are looking for 25 students (undergraduates and post-graduates) and young professionals under the age of 35 from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Kosovo and Serbia. ASSEI-B15 Scholarship The ASSEI-B15 Scholarship will cover the costs of participation: accommodation, reading materials, field visit, social events, whole-day excursion. The scholarship does not cover traveling and visa costs. ASSEI-B15 Description After successful completion of the course, ASSEI-B15 participants will have acquired a comprehensive understanding of the EU and global affairs, the EU enlargement processes and SEE regional cooperation. The knowledge provided is based on an interdisciplinary approach and modern teaching techniques. The school is divided into three modules:

1. History and Culture
2. Society and Politics
3. Economy and Law

Each module is taught by two professors, meaning that the school's teaching faculty is comprised of 3 pairs of lecturers. Classes are organized in the form of lectures, interactive workshops and field visits to various institutions and organizations. Workshops and field visits are led by Mr. Bernd Kleinheyer. The academic coordinator of the school is Mag. Juergen Busch, together with Mr. Bernd Kleinheyer, Dr. Petra Bard and Dr. Petar Bojanic. Working language is English.
