CRTA and Politikon Network are organizing the panel discussion “Discussion on the Rule of (Un) Law - Serbia 2020” on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, starting at 2 pm, at KROKODIL CENTER (Karadjordjeva 43, Belgrade) as part of the EFB's Think and Link Programme joint regional project "Rule of Law Reform in the Western Balkans: Reinventing the Rules of the Game". With this discussion the organizers insist on re-examining the notion of what the rule of law is for Serbia and its citizens in 2020, locally and nationally. Some of the questions that will be raised in the conversation are how citizens see the state of democracy, how can we trust the institutions that (should) guarantee it, what are the five priorities crucial in the fight for the rule of law in 2020, which are the main obstacles to the rule of law and democracy in Serbia and how to overcome them, and are we going to be faced with a defense or promotion of democracy and the rule of law in the course of the next decade? The talk, moderated by Radovan Kupres from CRTA, will include the following speakers: ?Vukosava Crnjanski, CRTA ?Jovana Marovic, Politicon Network ?Gazela Pudar Drasko, Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory ?Ivan Stefanovski, election expert The panel discussion is organized as part of the regional project “Rule of Law in the Western Balkans: (Re) descovering the rules of the game”, implemented by the Politicon Network in collaboration with CRTA and the TIM Institute, with the support of the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB).
