The Fund
The European Fund for the Balkans is a multi-year joint initiative of European foundations designed to undertake and support initiatives aimed at bringing the Western Balkans closer to the European Union through grant-giving and operational programmes and, as such, is focused on individuals and organisations from Western Balkan countries.
As a direct follow-up to the International Commission on the Balkans (2004-2006), the Fund embodies the "member-state building strategy" with the development of functioning state administrations andconstituency-building as its main priorities.

The New Joomla Security Strike Team
The Joomla Project has assembled a top-notch team of experts to form the new Joomla Security Strike Team. This new team will solely focus on investigating and resolving security issues. Instead of working in relative secrecy, the JSST will have a strong public-facing presence at the new Joomla Security Center.

How to apply
The European Fund for the Balkans issues calls for proposals that seek to generate innovative and promising ideas from people and organisations from the Western Balkans. Unsolicited proposals are not accepted. The Fund supports projects that are in line with its priority programme areas by issuing calls for proposals throughout the year.
The Fund supports individuals of different profiles by providing opportunities for their participation in relevant events, initiatives and programmes.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.
Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser.
The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
