EXIT Festival 2010 - Development vs. Environment?

Exit 2010So, how expensive really is to save our world? Would stricter rules on carbon emission really slower development of countries like China and India? Are investments in alternative sources of energy only fun for the rich countries? Does more environmental protection means less working places? Could environmental protection and economic development march next to each other?

The EXIT visitors had discussed these questions on Agora stage on Thursday 8 July in the framework of EXIT Festival. The panel was organized by the European Fund for the Balkans in cooperation with EXIT Festival.

The panel was moderated by Andrzej Pyrka -  Gallup Europe. The panelists were Nigel Jollands - Head of the Energy Efficiency Unit in International Energy Agency, Marko Rakar - Independent analyst from Croatia, Dorit Nitzan - Head of Country Offices of the World Health Organization in Serbia and in Montenegro.
