Call for participants has been opened for the 3rd Regional Youth Forum (RYF). Participation is open to socially active individuals, young leaders, students and recent graduates from the WB6 region.
From the 29th of June to the 1st of July in Novi Sad, Serbia, the selected participants from the WB6 will have a chance to take part in debates and dialogues with current policymakers and regional leaders on salient topics and challenges.
The Regional Youth Forum is organised by the European Movement in Serbia – local branch Novi Sad, the European Fund for the Balkans, the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, and in partnership with the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) – ORF Promotion of EU Integration. Indispensable support was provided by the Provincial Government of Vojvodina, the City of Novi Sad and the Regional Cooperation Council.
“We strongly believe that young people, liberated from the past, should be encouraged to take part in debates and dialogues, and form models of lasting equanimity in the region for the future, through reconciliation, trust and cooperation. In order for the envisioned process to accomplish its purpose, of securing lasting models of cooperation, it is of paramount importance that the young opinionated leaders be recognised as the future heralds of peace and are given a unique place to listen and learn, in order to act. By getting to know one another, through mutual connections and exchange of views, they shall ultimately encourage each other to view mutual cooperation as the sole path, which will lead them to the resolution of any past, present and future attitudes and arguments.”
The conclusions of the RYF will be presented at the upcoming “Berlin Process” annual Summit in London, at the 8th edition of the Belgrade Security Forum, and the 2018 Young Bled Security Forum.
In order to apply, you will need to fill out the application form found here until May 28th, 2018 (by 23:59 CET). All additional information can be found in the enclosed document.
Our aim is to gather 200 young opinionated leaders, between 18 and 35 years old, with a proven record of making an impact in their communities and give them that place of knowledge and dialogue.
Travel and accommodation expenses during the Forum are covered by the organizers.
